AEI, shorten for American Education Institute is a non-for-profit institution dedicated to research and education regarding issues like government, politics, economics and social welfare. It was founded in 1938 with a stated mission "to defend the principles and improve the institutions of American freedom and democratic capitalism-limited government private enterprise, individual liberty and responsibility, vigilant and effective defense and foreign policies, political accountability, and open debate." It is headquartered in Washington, D.C. Through out years, AEI has gain enormous influence across the country regarding controversial topics and issues. Many of AEI participants and scholars are considered the most influential and leading architects of current social issues in the society.
